In today’s video, there’s a powerful question around dreams: is it too late to live the dreams that you’ve always wanted to live and are you too old to do it?
The answer is, it’s never too late to do that. Here’s how I know.
I have lots of dreams. One of the dreams we’re currently working on and I’m living, is my theatrical live event, my one-man show, where I play 50 different characters from my life story.
I was watching a one-man show the other night. The woman who was performing it is probably in her late 60s. I got invited to the show by Joel Zwick who directed her one-woman show – he’s also a producer, you might know him from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
As I was watching her show, I realized, here’s a woman who has a bigger future. The cool thing is that this game comes in all shapes and sizes. For me, I’m in my late 30s, I’m still very young and I have a big dream ahead of me.
My dream to go into the acting world and the theater world and the film world, all of that, I know I’m going to do because I know I have a bigger future.
How much time do you have? What are you going to do with that time? You’re never too old to start, and no dream is too big for you.
So what should you do right now?
#1: start thinking about the dream. If you don’t start dreaming it up and you don’t start making time for it, then the dream never comes to creation.
#2: get around relationships because so much of this game is about communication lines. If you’re connected to the right person, it is a huge percentage of the game. You have to find connections to the right people.
#3: take actions and steps into getting into that world of that dream that you have. If it stays just a dream and you don’t take action on it, you’ll develop a story in your head that you don’t think you can do it.
